Liminal Space Modern Society Artifacts

The spoon has many connotations in modern society, in Christianity (Ritualistic) the spoon is used as a vessel for the blood of Christ in the holy communion in Eastern Orthodox Churches. In a liminal sense the spoon may be found as an artifact left behind in the Liminal space after the act of taking drugs as paraphernalia.

The above spoon was discontinued by MacDonalds due to its use in drug culture. MacDonald's wrappers and rubbish is often found in liminal spaces lying around an after math of the capitalist ritual.

The spoon is also used to eat and can be seen as a left behind of a picnic just trash an artifact in the 'Zone'. Our trash like the Alien artifacts in Roadside Picnic is just that trash but to the untrained eye of that of a rat for example it could be seen as a mythical item as a rat has no concept of the culinary purpose of the spoon.
